April 28, 2022 – Riviera Beach, FL – The Business Development Board of Palm Beach County (BDB) is pleased to announce the opening of Percepto, the leading autonomous inspection and monitoring solution provider, revolutionizing how industrial sites monitor and inspect their critical infrastructure and assets.

The company, with roots in Israel, will occupy an 11,000 sq. ft. building located at 7201 Haverhill Business Parkway, Riviera Beach, FL, and estimates 100 new high wage jobs with several million dollars of capital investment planned.

Introduced by Florida Power & Light Company’s Office of Economic Development (FPL), the Business Development Board helped Percepto with site location searches, permitting assistance, and local connections. Bill Reichel of Reichel Realty & Investments, Inc., who is a BDB member, handled the real estate transaction.

Listed in TIME magazine’s 100 Best Inventions of 2021, Percepto AIM platform fully automates visual data workflows from capture to insight, leveraging the Percepto Air drone-in-a-box portfolio, alongside other robots and visual sensors. Using advanced machine learning and AI, Percepto AIM provides an end-to-end autonomous inspection and monitoring solution to assess risk, minimize downtime, drive efficiency, increase safety and reduce operational costs.

Percepto’s solutions are trusted by Fortune 500 customers on six continents. Customers include FPL, Delek US, Koch Fertilizer, ICL Dead Sea Works and Verizon. The company is the recipient of multiple prestigious awards including the Edison Gold Award and Frost & Sullivan Global Enabling Technology Leadership Award.

“We are very excited to open our new U.S. office in West Palm Beach after developing our presence in Texas. Given our work with FPL and our drone-in-box systems that can withstand Category 5 hurricane conditions, it was ideal to open a Florida office to best serve customers. We look forward to providing the U.S. southeast with durable and field-proven automated systems to help prevent serious failures, respond quickly to disasters, and enable business continuity remotely,” said Yorai Shmueli, Vice President of Operations, Percepto.

“We are thrilled that Percepto has chosen to locate its first U.S. assembly and manufacturing facility in Palm Beach County,” said Pam Rauch, FPL Vice President of External Affairs and Economic Development. “This is a perfect example of how FPL’s world-class economic development team works with partners in our communities to attract these types of impactful companies and good-paying jobs to Florida. Welcome to the Percepto team and congratulations to the BDB.”

“The Business Development Board is honored that Palm Beach County will be the home of this technology through the shared expertise of Percepto and FPL, representing the largest commercial autonomous drone project in the world. This type of innovation will change the future of electrical infrastructure,” said Kelly Smallridge, President and CEO of the Business Development Board.
